This tournament shall include teams of England, France, Wales, Ireland, Scotland and Italy. Ever since 5 teams became six in the year 2000, only 3 teams which are England, France, and Wales have great chances of winning. The other three teams have realistically very little chance of winning. Wales will be looking to defend their title.Teams which will win all their matches will also collect the grand slam along with the prestigious Six Nation’s Rugby Trophy.

The tournament will begin on Saturday with first match between England vs. Italy on the 7th February 2009 and Ireland vs. France on the same day. The match scheduling is as follows:

England vs. Italy Sat 7thIreland vs. France sat 7thScotland vs. Wales Sun 8thFrance vs. England 14thWales vs. England 14thItaly vs. Ireland 15thFrance vs. Wales 27thScotland vs. Italy 28thIreland vs. England 28thItaly vs. Wales 14th MarScotland vs. Italy Sat 14th MarEngland vs. France Sun 15th MarItaly vs. France Sat 21st MarEngland vs. Scotland Sat 21st MarWales vs. Ireland Sat 21st Mar

Detailed Overview of the Teams

Wales: There is no argument that Wales are the clear favorites with none of their rival having improved their performance recently; their retaining the Championship is easy. With arguably the worlds best finisher in Williams, coupled with a strong team across the board, it would take a very good side to match the Dragons over 5 games. The match in France shall be the biggest threat to another Grand Slam title.

England & Martin Johnson are in desperate need of a positive campaign after being hammered in the November Internationals. Much will rest on the shoulders of Andy Goode, the fly-half recalled for his first game in over 2 years in the absence of both Danny Cipriani & Toby Flood.

They do have 3 home games this time around but must travel both to Wales & Ireland; they haven’t won in either country since they last won the tournament in 2003.

France: They can win or lose to anyone on their day and that will never change. The home loss to England last year hurt Les Bleus, however, and they will be looking for revenge at Twickenham on day 4 match. With the pressure on coach Marc Livrement after consecutive defeats to South Africa & Australia, the notorious Parisian crowd may also work against the French if they do not try to take early leads in their home game

Ireland: They haven’t won this competition since 1985 and there is no reason to believe that the Shamrock is any better than their rivals this time. They do have one of the best fixture lists, with home games against England.

This weekend spread punters will witness the return of the thrilling Autumn Internationals, which include some of the planet’s top rugby talent taking on the Home Nations. Rugby’s spread betting public will be eagerly awaiting a chance to see how Martin Johnson’s side have progressed since their brilliant 21-20 away victory against Australia. New Zealand are up first for the Red Rose and the home side’s spread supporters will be hoping for a second successive international triumph. Australia, South Africa and Samoa have also made the trip north to serve up a cracking few weeks for rugby spread punters to get stuck into.

The news of Andrew Sheridan’s return for Saturday’s mouth-watering match-up with New Zealand at Twickenham will offer encouragement to England’s spread supporters. In contrast, sellers of the Kiwi’s match supremacy spread will be disappointed to learn that kicking king Jonny Wilkinson has been ruled out for the entire series – with fly-half duties being handed to Toby Flood. Further concern for New Zealand’s supremacy spread sellers is that England hold a particularly poor overall record against the All Blacks. These two nations have met on 33 occasions with England winning just six times and there has been one draw. This weekend’s visitors have also won the previous eight Tests against England – including the last two at Twickenham.

England’s spread supporters must look back to 2003 to see their team’s last triumph against the Kiwis – a 15-13 victory during the build up to the World Cup. The head-to-head analysis doesn’t improve much when England have played the All Blacks at Twickenham – losing 15 of their 20 matches and winning just four.

Spread buyers of the England’s points spread or total match points will be aware that the side have failed to score a try in their last two home matches against New Zealand. Worse still for those spread enthusiasts debating buying England’s points is that they only accumulated 12 from those two matches. Buyers of the All Black’s total match points will be pleased to find they amassed 51 points in those two contests – an average of 26 points per game.

Ireland’s first game is against South Africa and buyers of their supremacy spread will be happy to find that the tourists have not beaten their opponents in Dublin since 2000. The Irish have beaten the Springboks in their past three internationals, which will delight spread buyers of Ireland’s supremacy. Total match point buyers might have noted that plenty of rain is forecast in the build up to the game. Spread punters might then be inclined to sell total match tries as Ireland needed five penalties for their 15 points the last time these two met.

The fact that David Sexton has an excellent boot on him may attract spread punters to buy his kicking meters spread, as well as his player performance spread.

What will be the seismic moment?

Alain Rolland’s whistle, closing England’s first game against Wales at Twickenham on the opening weekend of the Six Nations. It could be the beginning of the end for Martin Johnson, Jonny Wilkinson and other luminaries if England lose that one and go on to stumble through the rest of the championship. Or a new beginning. Ludicrous to stack so much on one rugby match, but when you have had the kind of autumn England experienced, and when there are only 10 Tests each season to make a case, it is inevitable that such judgments will be made.

What is your biggest concern?

That the authorities will continue to muck about with the laws of the game. There is nothing wrong with rugby that firm refereeing won’t sort out. Make sure the offside law is obeyed, bang players for falling off their feet for whatever reason, cut out the endless chit-chat between officials and players and everything will be sweet.Stuff to work on?

Pre-match entertainment in the Premiership. Premier Rugby say it’s a family game, and they are pushing the boat out at Twickenham this afternoon for The Big Game between Harlequins and Wasps, but more often than not the half-hour before kick off is occupied by plump, goose-pimpled dancers in costumes inappropriate for the weather, joshing with stupid mascots in equally ridiculous costumes. It’s not charming and it’s not entertaining.

Personal wish for 2010?

That players won’t come to media sessions with a list of prepared answers to questions they think they might be asked. If rugby has a virtue left, it is that its most accomplished performers usually have something interesting to say, rather than the twaddle they are pre-programmed with by nannying, molly-coddling, interfering media advisers. Try this rule of thumb. If you’re bright enough to play international rugby, you probably don’t need a crib sheet.

The issue you most want resolved?

To know whether England posses any flair players. This Danny Cipriani business is getting ridiculous. Either he is a guy with the talent to flummox defences, or he isn’t. But, for Heaven’s sake, give him an extended run and let’s find out. And the same goes for Ben Foden, Shane Geraghty, Courtney Lawes, Steffon Armitage and Mathew Tait.

Best game next year if it comes off?

A repeat of last year’s Heineken Cup semi-final between Munster and Leinster at Croke Park. I’ve no idea if it will happen but both sides are topping their respective pools and are in a good position to make the quarter-finals. Why that fixture? Because Irish rugby is on fire at the moment and those two provinces are shining examples of how to combine the promise of a new generation with the authority and steadfastness of the current one.

Story you would most like to write next year?

The one praising Andy Robinson for his skill and courage in making Scotland Six Nations champions because he is a decent guy and because I have always thought he is more effective working with a team as a coach than he is trying to find a team as a selector.

Having already faced Australia and Argentina, life doesn’t get any easier as England take on a strong New Zealand side. Rugby Union spread bet buyers of England’s win index will be concerned that since winning the World Cup the Red Rose have lost all of their seven matches against the All Blacks, the side’s longest winless streak against NZ in their history. Three of these defeats were on English soil. Buyers of the All Blacks win index spread will be further pleased that NZ have an immaculate autumn record against all teams since the 2003 World cup finals, taking the spoils in every one of their 15 games.

Spread punters may conclude there is more value in the supremacy spread knowing that New Zealand will be heavily handicapped. Sellers of the spread might well point to the narrow 19-23 loss in 2005, where England trailed by just three at half-time but supremacy spread buyers will have a stronger recollection that England failed to breach their opponent’s try-line in New Zealand’s last visit to Twickenham, which ended 32-6 to the Kiwis. The average winning margin in head-to-heads since 2003 is as much as 26 points. Another note of caution for sellers of NZ’s supremacy lies in the fact that England have only got within 15 points once since, in 2005. Their largest defeat was by 42 points back in 1998 and spread sellers should also be aware that in the last seven matches between these sides NZ have accumulated a total of 249 points compared to England’s 92.

These figures will also be interesting to buyers and sellers of Sporting Index’s total points spread market, who can work out from this that in this time total match points between the sides have averaged just less than 49. In addition, seeing arguably the best fly-half in the world, Dan Carter, back in the All Blacks starting XV after his ban for a high-tackle against Wales will be a huge positive to total points spread buyers. He has played in every one of these seven Tests for his country scoring an awesome total of 137 points in the process – an average of 20 points per match. Even at Twickenham, he averages 18.67 points, five points more than his average in all games away from New Zealand. He is not only useful as a kicker – for buyers of his try minutes spread market, he has also scored a try in four of the seven.

Punters looking for a spread bet on the total tries market should be aware that New Zealand have scored at least two tries in every one of these games and, frighteningly, average 4.2 tries a match. Spread buyers should look at the other side of NZ’s game too though – they have stopped their opponents scoring seven times, including in each of the last four games. Sellers of England tries will be hoping it will soon become five-in-a-row.

Rugby Union’s autumn tests kick off this weekend with an absolute cracker for spread betting fans as England take on old adversaries Australia at Twickenham. Those spread bettors supporting England will be concerned that Martin Johnson’s options have been severely limited by injuries with as many as 20 players forced to pull out of the elite squad. There’s plenty for spread punters behind Australia to worry about too, after their young and experimental squad’s forgettable Tri-Nations. Despite earlier wins over the Barbarians, Italy and France, Robbie Dean’s side went on to win just one of their six matches against New Zealand and South Africa.

Overall, England and Australia have met on 36 occasions with the Wallabies winning 21, losing 14 and a single draw. To the delight of buyers of the Australians’ win index spread (25 points for win plus winning score) that includes winning the last meeting at Twickenham 28-14. Spread sellers and buyers of England’s win index will, however, point to the fact that the English were victorious in the previous game, a tight 12-10 win during the 2007 World Cup. Those same spread bettors will be impressed by the more recent head-to-head record, as will sellers of the Aus/Eng supremacy spread – in the last 12 matches against Australia, since 2000, England shade it with seven wins to the Aussies’ five.

Supremacy spread buyers would dearly love a repeat of the Wallabies’ highest winning margin over the hosts, a 76-point drubbing in 1998, while spread punters predicting a home victory might expect a narrower margin of victory given that England’s largest win over their rivals was by 17 points in 1976. The closest result between the sides was a thrilling 32-31 England victory in 2002. During Martin Johnson’s last six games, in which his team recorded just three wins, England scored an average of just over 26 points per game with an average winning margin of 11 points.

Punters looking at the total tries spread market will be interested to know that in the last ten matches between the sides a total of 41 tries were scored. Those keen for a spread bet on England total points should also know that in their previous ten against the Wallabies they have averaged 18.4 points while, in the same period, the total average points accumulated by both sides is just under 45. Sporting Index offer plenty of other exciting markets for spread bettors who might be unsure about the outright result including their performance supremacy spread, where points are awarded for match outcome, tries, kicked goals and deducted for missed kicks and cards shown. Other punters may defer their spread betting decision until kick-off and take advantage of Sporting Index’s in-running spread markets. Spread punters doing so should note that England have lost 12 of their last 17 final quarters at Twickenham but – as anyone who remembers Johnny Wilkinson’s last-gasp drop goal in the 2003 World Cup final will know – anything can happen in international rugby, and in this fixture in particular.

In 1602, he began work in earnest on the device and developed the Metronome, which musicians ever since have found to be so valuable.

A derivative of this also proved invaluable to a physician friend of his, and the machine was named the Pulsilogium. As the name suggests, it was used for taking his patients’ pulses.

In 1641, Galileo actually designed a clock regulated by a pendulum, but the poor old chap never lived to see his design in action. It could be said that every development has been made by people standing on the shoulders of giants. Christiaan Huygens perched on Galileo.

There are many different types of pendulum, but for the purposes of this article, we’ll content ourselves with those that fit in Grandfather and Longcase clocks, and have a quick look at those used for mantel clocks.

Temperature is one of the enemies of timekeeping in mechanical clocks. Friction is the other. When the pendulum rod warms up, its length is increased, thereby causing the clock to run slow. When it cools down, the opposite happens. Let’s see what can be done about this.

There are four main types used for the Longcases. The simple bob hung on a wooden rod. This makes for a very adequate timekeeper, because of wood’s relatively low coefficient of expansion. This means that if the clock’s situated in a cold room, overnight, say, the pendulum rod will contract and the clock will gain time. Once it starts to warm up in the morning, the reverse will happen.

Wood, though not the best material for pendulums, is nevertheless a most adequate timekeeper. From there, though, we find a metal named Invar, or later, Elinvar. Now this is really first class, because the coefficient of expansion here is negligible.

The Royal Pendulum beats in seconds, and has a theoretical length of 39.14″. It’s named for the Royal Observatory at Greenwich. The theoretical length of such pendulums are 39.14″, taken from the centre of the suspension spring from which they hang, to the centre of the bob.

The third type of pendulum came along in about 1715 and was invented by the English clockmaker, George Graham. He added a jar of mercury to the bottom of the rod. When the rod cooled down, the mercury contracted, effectively increasing the length to compensate, and of course vice-versa.

Then, in 1726, John Harrison of chronometer fame, (we’ll discuss him later), came up with what became known as the Gridiron pendulum. The gridiron type, invented by John Harrison, carried rods made alternatively of iron and zinc, which expanded and contracted at different rates. Zinc expands more than iron, so the same sort of thing happened. The one medium expanded and contracted more than the other, thus keeping the length constant.

Now, high quality wall clocks may enjoy the same sorts of compensation as their bigger brothers, the grandfathers, and indeed good quality French mantel clocks very frequently have mercury pendulums fitted to them.

These, then, are the four basic types of pendulum. I haven’t entered into the mathematics of pendulum calculation; there’s an excellent source for that which I’ll give later. My intention here has been solely to give you some idea of what the pendulum is and what function it plays in the clock.

I’m indebted to Wikipedia for some of the historical information in this article, and a lot of mathematical formulae may be found on their site.

A metal named Invar, and later Elinvar, came on the market and this has virtually no coefficient of expansion whatever.

When you join soccer training from your school, you will be introduced to various types of techniques when you play the sport. One of the most important characteristics of soccer trainings is learning the basic principles of kicking the ball. It is important to know the various kicks use by most professional players in a game. In a soccer drill, you’ll be taught to perform various soccer kicks that are dependent on where the ball is positioned, and how you will react with the ball when it comes in contact with your body. With the help of this article, you will learn to explore the most common kicks used by soccer players during trainings and scheduled games.

The first in line is the volley kick; it is a type of kick that requires something strategic. These kicks are executed out when the ball is off the land. This signifies that the player must practice different balancing techniques especially in ball handling. It is important to guarantee that you’re in a proper distance from the ball when executing a volley kick. If you don’t have the proper balance and proper distance when executing the kick then the kick will be unsuccessful. The player will suffer many injuries on the field when the volley kick was not executed properly within the approximate distance.

As a player, you should be aware of your distance and the two instances in which the volley kick was unsuccessful. The first circumstance is when the ball extends too faraway from your body. It has 99.9% chance that you will miss the soccer ball when you’re too far away from attempting to execute a volley kick. In this type of situation are more likely to get injured because you are forcing your body to strike in an awkward position at high speed. If you allow yourself more time to adjust rather than to execute to hit the soccer ball than you are likely to be injured.

The second basic principle of kicking during soccer training drills is the ground kick. It is important that you have to control over the foot that you are preparing to kick the ball, and the foot that is being utilized to support your body while executing the kick. When it comes to soccer trainings, practicing the proper kicking of the ball ensures that you realize that both feet and legs have a massive part in performing ground kicks. When executing a ground kick during soccer training drills, pay special attention to your feet and legs.

The last basic rule of kicking is you have to lean back when you wish to kick the ball that is a little bit lower, and if you wish to kick a slow ball, you should lean forward. Just remember that trainings you have been and all the hard practice in attempting to execute a powerful kick.

The origins of the Australian Football League (AFL) can be traced back to 1896 when 8 teams decided to split from the Victorian Football Association (VFA) to form the Victorian Football League (VFL). The VFA had been formed in 1877 but organised Australian Rules Football had been played in Victoria long before that with the first documented game taking place in August 1858 between Scotch College and Melbourne Grammar.
In 1897 Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon, Fitzroy, Geelong, Melbourne, St Kilda and South
Melbourne contested the first VFL season with Essendon winning the first premiership.

St Kilda struggled in the new league losing their first 48 games before finally breaking through in the 1st round of the 1900 season defeating Melbourne by 1 point. The game finished with the
scores deadlocked on 68 points apiece but St Kilda successfully argued that one of Melbourne’s
points had been scored after the three-quarter time bell so the game was awarded to St Kilda.
Success for the Saints was short-lived though with St Kilda losing their remaining 13 games in
1900 and their first 12 games in 1901 before posting another victory.

Round 1 of 1903 saw Geelong defeat St Kilda by 50 points meaning that St Kilda had managed to win only 2 of their first 100 League games. But by round 6 that same year something had changed. St Kilda started winning and finished the year in 5th position on the ladder with 6 wins just missing out on the Final Four.

In 1908 Richmond and University joined the VFL. Both teams were immediately competitive.
Richmond winning their first League match against Melbourne then going on to complete the
season with 6 victories. University had to wait until round 2 to record their first win when they
defeated fellow newcomer Richmond. They finished the season in 6th place with 8 wins.

By 1912 University were in decline. They only won 1 game that year against St Kilda and were
unable to record a victory in either of the following two seasons. Struggling to attract players,
University disbanded before the start of the 1915 season having lost their final 51 games.
University was the first VFL team to feel the pressure of players joining the forces fighting in WWI.
The 1916 season saw Essendon, Geelong, Melbourne, St Kilda and South Melbourne go into
recess. With just four remaining in the League, Fitzroy achieved the unusual distinction of
finishing last yet under the Final Four system they competed in the finals and won the
premiership.
Geelong and South Melbourne rejoined the League in 1917 with St Kilda and Essendon coming
back the following season. Melbourne returned to the League in 1919 after the war had finished.
The VFL expanded to 12 teams in 1925 when North Melbourne, Footscray and Hawthorn joined.
The newcomers filled the bottom three spots on the 1925 ladder recording 5, 4 and 3 wins
respectively.
The late 1920s were dominated by Collingwood. Runners-up in 1925 and 1926, they won 4
premierships in a row from1927-30 losing just 10 games along the way. They were a machine,
propelling their prolific full-forward Gordon Coventry to a 1,299 goal career.

Collingwood’s four premierships in a row remained unchallenged until the 1950s. Melbourne were runners-up in 1954, when Footscray won their first premiership, before a run of 3 premierships in 55, 56 and 57. Fate pitched them against Collingwood in the 1958 Grand Final. Collingwood won by 3 goals ensuring their record remained unequalled. Melbourne won the 1959 and 1960 premierships making it five flags from their seven consecutive Grand Final appearances.

Collingwood again featured when St Kilda won the premiership in 1966 by a solitary point becoming the last of the original 8 VFL teams to win a flag. The 1972 season saw the number of teams playing in the finals increased from 4 to 5 with the introduction of the McIntyre Final Five system. This allowed an extra two matches to be played during the 4 week duration of the finals bringing additional gate receipts to the League. For the following decade, despite the extra money from finals, several VFL teams felt the pinch financially. The VFL were eyeing expansion into Sydney, Australia’s biggest city. But with a preference for Rugby League rather than Australian Rules Football breaking into the Sydney sports market would not be easy. With VFL encouragement, South Melbourne relocated to Sydney during the 1981 post-season and became the Sydney Swans starting and unparalleled period of change for the VFL.

The VFL expanded into Western Australian and Queensland with the inclusion of newly formed teams, the West Coast Eagles and the Brisbane Bears. These new teams both won their first games. Brisbane defeating North Melbourne at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) with West Coast beat Richmond at Subiaco. The Bears finished the year 13th with 6 wins while the Eagles were 8th with 11 wins.

With three teams based outside Victoria the VFL was renamed the Australian Football League (AFL) in 1990. Towards the end of that year the most successful South Australian team, Port Adelaide, made a bold bid to join the AFL. Their bid was thwarted when the South Australian League (SANFL) formed the Adelaide Crows who were accepted into the AFL expanding the competition to all five Australian mainland States.

The Crows hit the competition with a bang in the first round of 1991 beating Hawthorn by 86 points at Football Park but finished the season in 9th place with 10 wins.

The 1991 season also saw the expansion of the Finals system to a Final Six. Also devised by McIntyre, the Final Six had it’s problems. It was tweaked in 1992 when West Coast became the first non-Victorian team to win the premiership although with the Brisbane Bears Reserves winning the premiership in the curtain-raiser it could be argued that Brisbane holds that honour. In any case, the Eagles were the first non-Victorian team to win a senior flag and by 1994 when they added a second one, the Final Six system had been replaced by a Final Eight. With only 15 teams in the League, a Final Eight meant more teams made the finals than missed out. That was rectified in 1995 the Fremantle Dockers became the second Western Australian team to join the AFL. Freo lost their first two games before breaking through in round 3 against Fitzroy at the Western Oval. They finished the year with 8 wins in 13th
place.

1996 marked the 100th season of VFL/AFL football. The AFL celebrated the entire season as its centenary and scheduled a series of re-enactment games in round 7 where teams wore replica uniforms from the 1890s. Over 75,000 people saw Essendon defeat Geelong in the first game of that round at the MCG on a Wednesday night. Two days later more than 70,000 fans again made there way to the MCG to watch St Kilda defeat Collingwood.

Cynics suggest the AFL celebrated the centenary a year early because Fitzroy, one of the foundation teams, were in such financial trouble that they would not see the season out. It was no surprise when in July 1996 it was announced that Fitzroy would merge with another team. The expected partner was North Melbourne but when the announcement was made it was the Brisbane Bears who were the other team. Fitzroy and the Bears played out the 1996 season
before forming the Brisbane Lions for the 1997 season. Melbourne would have merged with Hawthorn that same year it had not been rejected by the members of both clubs at emotion charged meetings. North Melbourne went on to win the Grand Final against Sydney earning a gold premiership cup to mark the Centenary. To maintain 16 teams, Port Adelaide Power were admitted to the AFL in 1997. The Power were separate from the powerful SANFL team the Port Adelaide Magpies but they claimed a shared history with both teams based a Alberton Oval. Port Adelaide lost their first two games in 1997 to Collingwood and Essendon before defeating Geelong in round 3 at Football Park in Adelaide. Brisbane Lions also lost in round 1 but rebounded in round 2 defeating St Kilda by 97 points in their first home game at the Gabba. Port and the Lions fought out 8th spot on the ladder each having 10 wins and a draw. Brisbane played in the finals due to their superior percentage. Perhaps inspired by the inclusion of their cross-town rivals, Adelaide won their first premiership in 1997. They went back-to-back winning again in 1998.

The finals system was changed again in 2000. The number of teams remained at 8 but the AFL did not want the match-ups from week one to be repeated in week 3. The changes brought more uncertainty and complexity to the finals match-ups but at this stage remains the AFL’s preferred system.

The early 21st century belonged to the non-Victorian clubs. Brisbane won 3 flags in a row in 2001, 02 and 03 before falling to Port Adelaide in 2004 leaving Collingwood’s 4-in-a-row untouched. The Sydney Swans won the premiership in 2005 breaking a 72 year drought since South Melbourne had won in 1933.

The future of the AFL looks as interesting as the past. Victorian teams with exciting squads such
as St Kilda and Geelong are pushing for the premiership while Brisbane, Adelaide and West
Coast continue to look strong. Fremantle remains the only team not to have won a flag but no
doubt their time will come.

If you’re planning to start your own fantasy football team you will need to make sure your team is properly outfitted. Official football equipment not only helps your team to look more professional but is also important to ensure your players’ safety. Read on for more tips to help you understand what equipment you will need and why it is important.

First, it is extremely important to protect the head and neck from any possible injury. In order to do this each player will need a helmet and not just any helmet will do. You need to make sure each player has a helmet that fits securely. The helmet will also need to be outfitted with a mouth guard to protect the mouth and teeth from possible injuries that could result from impact. It is also important to ensure the helmet is outfitted with a face mask and chin strap. Avoid the temptation to buy helmets en masse and take the time to properly measure your players to ensure each one has a helmet that fits them securely. While mouth guards cannot be fitted individually before purchase, they should be soaked in warm water and then moulded to each individual player’s mouth. This will provide a protection that is specific to each player and which will provide better protection. Don’t forget you will also need a neck roll to protect the neck from injury. This piece of form is worm at the back of the neckline and will prevent the player’s head from being pushed too far back and possibly snapped.

To protect the body, your team will need shoulder pads, thigh pads, hip pads and knee pads. These pieces of equipment will help to absorb the shock of any impact the players experience and prevent injury by distributing shock.

Of course, no team would be complete without a uniform; however, it is important to note that uniform pants and jerseys are not just for looks alone. While it is wonderful to have a team that looks sharp in their uniform the style and fabric of the uniforms play an important role in protecting the players from injury as well as weather related problems. Always make sure your players have uniforms that fit securely and snugly to ensure all protective equipment remains in place where it should.

The hands and feet are also especially prone to injury when playing football so you want to take care and provide equipment and gear to protect your players. Linemen and receivers will need gloves that will protect their fingers and hands from getting caught up in other player’s equipment as well as to protect them from possible trampling during the game.

Shoes are also extremely important. There are a number of different types of cleats on the market, available in various sizes for different types of grass fields. For example, ¾ inch are often better for fields that are soft while ½ inch cleats perform better on dry fields. Make sure you take all of this into consideration when selecting shoes.
